NCHEA District IV Fall Meeting and Golf

Registration

  • Those who work directly for a Health Care System or Assisted Living Facility as defined by the NCHEA.

    Please let us know if there is a team that you prefer to golf with or if we can place you with a randomly selected team.
  • Register three golfers and the NCHEA District IV will work to place a Hospital Engineer on your team! (We will endeavor to add a Hospital Engineer to each team, but if we do not have enough - will reach out the week before so that you can supply your own fourth golfer!)
  • Here's how to meet everyone on the 11th!!!
    Provide two responsible drivers to sponsor, stock and drive the beverage cart for the day! Provide your own snacks and the course will supply the beverages.

  • Sponsor the Driving Range for the NCHEA District IV Fall Golf Outing. Come and set up a tent and advertise your company to the facilities playing with us on Nov. 11th! (Tents, tables, chairs and coolers must be provided by the company sponsoring)
  • Come and set up a tent and determine / host a putting contest for the group! (Sponsor must provide all tents, chairs, tables, coolers, winner's gifts and personnel for this event).

9:15am District IV General Meeting 

9:45am Educational Presentation:  Solving the Riddle of Barrier Management: Decommissioning Doors and Firestop Red Flags

In this presentation, we will explore the decommissioning of doors and how the barriers they reside in are understood. Next, we will dive into the top firestop deficiencies and how these red flags could have been avoided.

Presenters: Tyler Ferguson, DRI: Vice President, National Firestopping Solutions

Tyler Ferguson founded National Firestopping Solutions and currently is Secretary for the Firestop Contractors International Association. He holds his FM 4991 Firestop Certification and aids in developing, in partnership with FM Approvals and with Underwriters Laboratories, firestop certifications, IAS Accreditation Criteria AC 291, and ASTM Standards.

Branden Clements: Door Division Manager, National Firestopping Solutions

Branden Clements graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Fire Science and served as a firefighter for the National Forestry Service in Washington and Oregon. Since then, he founded the Door Division at National Firestopping Solutions where he has extensive knowledge of NFPA 80 requirements and leads a team of Door Inspectors and Door Technicians.

All additional monies raised by this outing will go toward a fund of the District's choice.  This will be voted on during the general meeting on the 11th.  (Please forward a note to Tye Frost if you wish for a specific fund to be considered for this  donation at  tfrost@carolinaeasthealth.com.  

Discounted Hotels rates are available for our group in the New Bern Area, should you wish to say overnight.  A list of those will be forwarded to our golfers and volunteers with details on how to reserve with that lower rate.
